The units of measurement it can work with are:
• Gram (g), A gram is one thousandth of a kilogram (1 kg = 1,000 g). It is used to measure small amounts of mass, such as in cooking, pharmaceuticals, jewellery, etc.
• Ounce (oz) is a unit of the imperial system, equivalent to 1/16 of a pound or approximately 28.35 grams. It is mainly used to measure small amounts of mass in foodstuffs, cooking ingredients, etc.
• Carat (ct), is a unit of mass used to measure precious gems and pearls, equivalent to 200 milligrams (0.2 g). Specifically used in jewellery and gemology to measure diamonds and other precious stones.
• Ozt (troy ounce), is a unit of mass used primarily in the measurement of precious metals such as gold, silver, and platinum. One troy ounce is equivalent to approximately 31.1035 grams. It is used in the precious metals and coin trade. It is different from the avoirdupois ounce (oz), which is more common in other contexts.
• Dwt (Pennyweight), is another unit of mass used in jewellery and precious metal measurement. One pennyweight is equal to 1/20th of a troy ounce or approximately 1.555 grams. It is mainly used in the jewellery industry for weighing precious metals, such as gold, and in the manufacture of coins.
• Gn (Grain) is a very small unit of mass, equivalent to approximately 0.0648 grams. It is the basic unit in the troy and avoirdupois weight system. It is used in ballistics to measure the weight of projectiles (bullets) and in jewellery for precious metals. Likewise, it is also used in pharmacology for certain drug dosages.
• T(tl) (Tael or Chinese Tael), is a traditional unit of mass used in several East Asian countries. The exact measurement of the tael varies by region and system, but the Chinese tael (liang) is approximately 37.5 grams. It is used in China and other parts of Asia for weighing precious metals, traditional medicines, and in trade.
These units are specialized, and their use is restricted to certain sectors, such as jewellery, the precious metals trade, ballistics, and in specific historical or cultural contexts. Each of these units of measurement is suitable for different contexts, depending on the size or weight of the object to be measured and the preferred or standard system of units in the region or discipline concerned.
