The box is equipped with a color scale for determining the pH of the solution compared to the color obtained on the strip.
Available in various scales and pH measuring devices: pH-meters
|Product Type||pH Paper|
The pH paper is impregnated with an indicator or a mixture of indicators which, when in contact with the solution to be analysed, adopts a colour depending on the pH of the solution to be analysed.
The use of paper is an easy, economical and fast method for the analysis of pH in aqueous solutions in a matter of seconds. This practical method is widely used in laboratories, in industry, in laboratory classrooms, schools, in the field, in swimming pools and aquariums.
The pH-indicator paper strip is immersed for a few seconds in a liquid solution for acidity or base/alkaline titration. After about 10/15 seconds, the colour obtained on the pH indicator paper can be compared with the colour scale supplied and each colour measures the pH range, so that the level of acidity or alkalinity of a solution is known. Paper turns red with acids and blue with bases.
The measuring ranges of the pH scale range from 1 to 14.
Acid: 1 to 6
Base or Alkaline: 8 to 14
The use of paper to determine pH is not as accurate as a pH meter that provides accurate pH measurement results, while pH paper only generates a pH range.
