The Manual Rotating Microtome with 1-25 µm thickness range is an essential tool in histology, designed to perform fine and precise cuts on biological materials such as tissues and samples. Its purpose is to prepare thin sections for observation and examination under a microscope. These thin cuts, known as sections, are extremely thin, making them ideal for sample preparation.

The Nahita brand Manual Rotating Microtome is a basic model with a crank advance system for cutting plant and animal tissues embedded in paraffin, as well as harder materials. It finds applications in routine histological processes and research in laboratories and universities, as well as in various fields like biology, medicine, and industry, among others.

Technical Information about the Basic Manual Rotating Microtome:

A simple and robust equipment model with a broad base that provides stability. The advance/retract wheel features a safety locking system that securely holds the sample or blade holder in its uppermost position. This facilitates sample or blade changes while also providing an additional layer of protection and safety for the user. Upon completing the sample's travel during cutting, an alarm signal is activated.

The crank also allows for the retraction of the sample holder position. The holder is equipped with an orientation system that ensures the cutting edge is precisely positioned in relation to the sample's surface.

This equipment offers highly precise thickness regulation for cutting, allowing adjustments from 1 to 25 microns with an accuracy of 1 micron.

The blade holder base can be moved forward, backward, and laterally to adapt to the most suitable position for achieving maximum cutting precision. Additionally, it allows for adjusting the cutting edge orientation angle. It's important to note that the blade holder is compatible with disposable blades, although this accessory is not included in the package.

The equipment comes with a 12 cm long biplane blade and a standard clamp.

The integrated LED display shows the number of cuts performed and has a black reset button to start a new cut count.
