Digital rotational viscometer with a measuring range from 10η to 6,000,000η of the Nahita brand, model 810/3 and 810/30
Equipment specialised in the determination of the average viscosity of different types of fluids such as oils, paints, solutions and similar products.
Its stepper motor ensures a constant rotation speed, allowing it to work at 0.1, 0.3, 0.6, 1.5, 3, 6, 12, 30, 60 rpm.
The measuring range of the equipment is 10-6×10⁶ mPa·s (cP) with an accuracy of ± 1% (Newtonian liquid) and a resolution of 1 mPa·s.
Working repeatability of 0.5%.
The rotor number 0 is designed to work with low densities.
More information on the difference between the 810/3 and 810/30 models can be found in the description and data sheet.
A viscometer is an instrument used to measure the viscosity of a liquid, i.e. the internal resistance of the fluid to flow. In other words, viscosity describes the ability of a liquid to resist movement. It is designed to monitor and control viscosity in industrial processes to ensure consistency in manufacturing.
Their ability to improve efficiency and reduce costs in liquid handling makes them valuable tools for continuous improvement of industrial processes. They also play a crucial role in characterising substances in scientific studies and in measuring the viscosity of oils and fuels in the oil industry.
This equipment presents itself as a stable, efficient and user-friendly tool for the precise determination of the average viscosity in a variety of fluids, such as edible oils, lubricants, paints, varnishes and similar products. This innovative rotational viscometer has been designed to measure the average dynamic viscosity of fluids by allowing the selection of the rotational speed of various stainless steel rotors.
It features high-performance 16-bit individual microchip technology, setting it apart from conventional methods of speed regulation.
It has an Autorun function, which is a great help to know which rotor and speed to use to obtain the most accurate result: the result is obtained by testing the sample with different rotors and speeds. RS232 output is also available.
The backlit LCD and the large control panel make it easy to select speed and rotor parameters.
It uses a stepper motor that ensures a constant rotational speed, based on a pre-set program, resulting in highly accurate measurements.
The difference between the 810/3 and 810/30 is:
Model 810/1 comes equipped with four rotors: number 1, 2, 3 and 4.
The 810/10 model is equipped with five rotors: number 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4. The rotor number 0 is designed to work with low densities.
Both models are equipped with rotor protector and temperature probe.
The support is solid metal and incorporates a level bubble for perfect levelling to guarantee the stability of the machine when working. The column is solid with a rack and pinion system and incorporates a metal clamp.
For convenience and portability, it is supplied with a rotor holder and comes in a sturdy aluminium case designed specifically for the viscometer.
The following table shows the parameters to be considered according to the viscosity range (η) of the substance:
