Laboratory Glass Bell Jar With Knob

The SIMAX glass bell jar, measuring 180 mm in diameter and 300 mm in height, is made of borosilicate glass and features a reinforced rim for greater mechanical strength in routine laboratory use. Its transparent design helps protect samples, assemblies and small laboratory items from dust, splashes and direct contact, while ensuring excellent visibility of the interior at all times. Owing to its shape and construction, it can also be used for vacuum tests when combined with a suitable base and a compatible vacuum system.

Applications and Use

This type of bell jar is commonly used to cover and temporarily isolate items or preparations during observation, demonstration or laboratory handling work. It is also suitable for simple practical work and experiments in which a vacuum must be created and maintained around an object or assembly, as well as for protecting sensitive items while they remain exposed on the workbench. In vacuum applications, bell jars of this type are usually placed on a sealed plate or base connected to a pump, creating a visible enclosed space for the experiment.
