pH Indicator Paper for Aqueous Solutions

pH indicator paper allows a quick and simple assessment of the acidity, neutrality or alkalinity of an aqueous solution. When the strip comes into contact with the sample, it changes colour, enabling visual reading by comparison with the colour scale included in the packaging.

It is a practical and cost-effective option for preliminary checks in laboratories, industry, education, swimming pools, aquariums and other applications where a rapid pH verification is required without the need for electronic instruments.

Available in different presentations: 5-metre roll, boxes of 100 or 200 strips and Nahita box of 80 strips. Depending on the model, the measurement range can be pH 0–14 or pH 1–14, with colour scale reading for comparison with the strip result.

How to use

To determine the pH, briefly immerse the strip in the solution to be analysed and wait a few seconds until the colour stabilises. Then compare the result with the colour scale on the packaging to identify the approximate pH range.

• Acidic: values below 7.
• Neutral: value around 7.
• Basic or alkaline: values above 7.

The reading is carried out by visual comparison, so the result should be considered indicative. For more precise measurements, it is recommended to use a handheld or digital calibrated pH meter.
