Straight Dissecting Forceps with Teeth, 1:2 & 2:3
Straight dissecting forceps with 1:2 and 2:3 teeth in stainless steel: firm, controlled grip on skin and dense tissue.
Straight geometry with standard or fine tips for precise suturing and traction manoeuvres.
Instrument-grade stainless steel per EN ISO 7153-1, satin anti-reflective finish and high corrosion resistance.
Steam-sterilisable (autoclave) and compatible with ultrasonic cleaning.
Available in different lengths: 125–200 mm (1:2) and 130–145 mm (2:3).
Technical tip: for very delicate tissues, choose non-toothed (serrated) forceps to minimise tissue trauma.
Straight Dissecting Forceps with Teeth: 1:2 and 2:3
Straight rat-tooth tissue forceps in surgical-grade stainless steel, engineered for a firm hold on skin, fascia and other dense tissues during suturing and controlled traction. The 1:2 and 2:3 tooth configurations provide secure retention with less manual pressure than non-toothed forceps, reducing slippage on robust tissues. These forceps are steam-sterilisable (autoclave) and compatible with ultrasonic cleaning, enabling repeated reprocessing cycles with high hygiene standards.
The material corresponds to martensitic stainless steels commonly used for instruments, in accordance with EN ISO 7153-1:2016, which specifies suitable steel grades and hardness ranges for standard surgical instruments. A satin/matt finish minimises glare under strong lighting and improves visual control during procedures.
Key Features
- Straight geometry for aligned grasping and direct visibility of the working plane.
- 1:2 and 2:3 teeth: secure grip on skin and dense tissue with reduced pinch force. (1:2 = one tooth opposing two; 2:3 = two opposing three.)
- Tip: standard or fine (model 469.2315) for higher precision in superficial planes.
- Material: instrument-grade stainless steel, per EN ISO 7153-1:2016 (typical martensitic grades for forceps and scissors).
- Sterilisation: steam at 121 °C (30 min, gravity) or 132–134 °C (4 min, pre-vacuum), per CDC guidance.
Cleaning and Maintenance Best Practice
- Immediate pre-cleaning and washing within 30–60 min to minimise staining/pitting; avoid chloride residues.
- Thorough drying before storage to prevent microbial growth and corrosion.
- Reprocessing instructions provided by the manufacturer in accordance with ISO 17664-1:2021 (cleaning, disinfection/sterilisation, functional inspection).
