Borosilicate Glass 3.3 Properties
This type of glass offers excellent chemical resistance to water, saline solutions, acids, and bases. It is only vulnerable to hydrofluoric acid and high temperatures in the presence of strong bases or phosphoric acid.
- Low Thermal Expansion: Linear expansion coefficient of 3.3.
- Thermal Tolerance:
- Transformation temperature: 534°C
- Maximum working temperature: 500°C
- Anneling temperatures: Upper - 550°C, Lower - 494°C

- Boron oxide (B2O3): 12.50%
- Aluminum oxide (Al2O3): 2.40%
- Sodium oxide (Na2O): 3.80%
Chemical Resistance and Compliance:
