Microhaematocrit capillary tubes with and without heparin for blood analysis

Marienfeld Superior microhaematocrit capillary tubes are designed for the collection and centrifugation of blood samples in haematology and in vitro diagnostic applications. Manufactured in Europe from high-quality glass and compliant with ISO 12772, they provide precision and reliability in laboratory procedures.

The heparinised version incorporates sodium heparin applied as a thin, homogeneous coating inside the capillary tube, with a nominal concentration of 80 IU/ml, promoting immediate dissolution in the blood and helping to prevent sample coagulation.

The non-heparinised version is intended for procedures where no anticoagulant is required, while maintaining the same quality characteristics as the heparinised model.

Both models feature an approximate capacity of 75 µl and an open-ended capillary design. The colour-coded end is fire-polished to reduce centrifuge wear and improve resistance during use.

After filling, the capillary tubes must be sealed with wax before centrifugation. They are designed for single use, helping to maintain suitable hygienic conditions and reduce the risk of cross-contamination.

They incorporate CE marking, expiry date and batch number, ensuring traceability and product identification in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/746 on in vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVDR).

Supplied in dispenser tubes of 100 units, they provide a reliable and precise solution for clinical laboratories, haematology analysis and professional healthcare environments.
