Electrophoresis Transfer Module

Code

The electrophoresis transfer module is mainly used for the transfer of proteins from polyacrylamide gels during the Western Blot (WB) technique.
It consists of a holder with platinum electrodes resistant to corrosion and high temperatures, two polycarbonate cassettes with perforated plates that allow the simultaneous transfer of two gels and 4 pads required for the process.
Both the cassettes and the holder are colour coded to ensure correct orientation of the gel during the transfer process.

Transfer module for electrophoresis

Electro-blotting is a very useful technique in research laboratories for the transfer of macromolecules (proteins or nucleic acids) from the gel in which they are embedded to a membrane (usually nitrocellulose) on which they remain adhered and accessible for subsequent detection.
This Nahita transfer module is mainly used for the transfer of proteins from polyacrylamide gels during the Western Blot (WB) technique.
The module consists of:
* a holder with platinum electrodes resistant to corrosion and high temperatures;
* two polycarbonate cassettes with perforated plates allowing the simultaneous transfer of two gels, and
* 4 pads required for the process.
Both the cassettes and the holder are colour coded to ensure correct orientation of the gel during the transfer process.
The buffer volume is 500 ml.
The dimensions of the porous plate are 95×87 mm.
Working conditions should be 0-40 °C < 80% relative humidity.
Electrophoresis time 45–60 minutes (at 200 V).
This equipment is compatible for use with the vertical electrophoresis cuvette together with the power supply. You will find both products at the bottom of the page.
