Spectrophotometer 4251/50 UV/Visible

High-end spectrophotometer especially suitable for Molecular Biology and Biochemistry laboratories as it allows qualitative (absorbance and transmittance measurements), quantitative (calculation of concentrations) and kinetic analyses in the UV-visible range of the spectrum. High-performance spectrophotometer with only 0.05 % stray light and a bandwidth of 2 nm ensures precise and accurate readings.

Large, easy-to-read LCD display (128x64 bits) showing the results of the various measurements as well as the concentration curves and their equations and real-time kinetic curves.

Memory allows storage of up to 200 absorbance and transmittance data sets.

The memory also allows up to 200 different concentration curves to be stored and retrieved, which is very useful in tests with samples of the same nature and speeds up the laboratory's work.

Precise selection of the working wavelength via the keypad with a resolution of 0.1 nm.

Data is retrieved after a sudden power failure.

Tungsten and deuterium lamps can be switched on and off independently to extend their life.

Sample compartment with manual external heat exchanger accommodates up to 4 x 10 mm cuvettes.

Application software that provides full control of the spectrophotometer functions and operation from a PC and allows scanning, multi-wavelength analysis, DNA and protein analysis.

Functions:

  • Basic mode: measurement of absorbance and transmittance at a given wavelength.
  • Quantitative mode: calculation of the concentration of different samples from the equation of a standard curve (C=k-A+b).

Two methods:

  • Coefficient: the value of the coefficients k and b of the equation are entered directly via the keyboard.
  • Standard curve: up to 9 standard samples can be used to establish the equation of the standard curve.

Kinetic mode: for analysis over time and calculation of the speed of enzymatic reactions, with the possibility of programming the total time of the analysis and the time interval between one measurement and the next.
