Spectrophotometer model 4211/20 Visible

The new 4211 series of spectrophotometers presents a more modern and up-to-date line and incorporates a set of features that make these instruments precise and reliable. The spectrophotometers model 4211/20 and model 4211/50 belonging to this new series are ideal for use in research laboratories as they allow qualitative analysis (absorbance and transmittance measurements) and quantitative analysis (calculation of concentrations) in the visible and UV-visible range respectively.

Large, easy-to-read LCD display (128x64 bits) showing the results of the different measurements as well as the concentration curves and their equations.

Memory for storing up to 200 absorbance and transmittance data. The memory can also store and recall up to 200 different standard curves, which is very useful in tests with samples of the same nature and speeds up the daily work in the laboratory.

Precise selection of the working wavelength via the keypad.

Sample compartment with manual external sample changer that can hold up to 4 cuvettes with 10 mm light path.

Application software that provides full control of the functions and operation of the spectrophotometer from a PC and enables enzyme kinetics curves to be obtained. Compatible with MWave Professional software (not included) that enhances the functions of the equipment through the computer.

Functions:

  • Basic mode: measurement of absorbance and transmittance at a given wavelength.
  • Quantitative mode: calculation of the concentration of different samples from the equation of a standard curve (C=k-A+b).

Two methods:

  • Coefficient: the value of the coefficients k and b of the equation are entered directly via the keyboard.
  • Standard curve: up to 9 standard samples can be used to establish the equation of the standard curve.
