Straight Dissecting Forceps, without Teeth and Serrated
Straight stainless-steel dissecting forceps with serrated tips for a controlled, atraumatic grip in wound care, histology and minor dissections.
Manufactured from stainless steel in accordance with EN ISO 7153-1:2016, with a satin anti-glare finish for improved visibility and cleaning.
Tip options: fine for access to confined areas and blunt/standard for general tasks and dressing fixation.
Supplied non-sterile; steam-sterilisable within validated processes in accordance with ISO 17664-1:2021.
Compatible with manual cleaning, ultrasonic cleaning and washer-disinfectors compliant with ISO 15883.
Balanced design with precise tip alignment and cross-serrations for fine control during sustained grasp.
Its lightweight, well-balanced design makes it a preferred choice for laboratories and operating theatres that require high-precision handling without tissue trauma.
Straight Dissecting Forceps with Serrated Tips, Stainless Steel
Straight instrument for tissue handling, wound care and minor dissections. The serrated gripping surface provides controlled hold on dressing materials and delicate tissues. Manufactured from stainless steels in accordance with EN ISO 7153-1:2016, with a satin, anti-glare finish that reduces reflections and facilitates visual inspection after cleaning.
Key Features
- Precise, atraumatic grip: the serrated faces distribute pressure and minimise slippage in wound care, histology and sample handling.
- Tip options: blunt for general tasks and dressing fixation; fine for access to confined areas and high-precision manoeuvres.
- Materials and finish: stainless steels commonly used for instruments per EN ISO 7153-1; the satin finish improves optical control and helps conceal micro-scratches from use.
- Sterilisation and reprocessing: supplied non-sterile; steam-sterilisable within validated processes in accordance with ISO 17664-1:2021. Compatible with manual and ultrasonic cleaning, as well as washer-disinfectors compliant with ISO 15883.
- Ergonomics and control: balanced elasticity, precise tip alignment and cross-serrations for fine control during sustained grasp.
Notes on Use and Care
- Immediate cleaning after use to prevent corrosion from chlorinated agents; ensure complete drying before storage.
- Typical reprocessing: rinse, cleaning (manual/ultrasonic), visual inspection, packaging and steam sterilisation with facility-validated cycles (e.g., 121 °C for 30 min gravity displacement or 132–134 °C for 4 min pre-vacuum).
- Do not mix incompatible metals in ultrasonic tanks or washers to avoid galvanic corrosion or shadow staining.
Quick Selection Guide
- Fine tip: access to narrow areas and precise dissection with minimal tissue trauma.
- Standard or blunt tip: general use in wound care and dressing fixation with reliable grip control.
Informational note: forceps with teeth (e.g., 1:2 and 2:3, rat-tooth type) are designed for a firmer hold on skin and dense tissue and are not recommended for very delicate tissues.
