Laboratory Bunsen Burner with Gas and Air Control

The Bunsen burner is a direct heat source intended for routine laboratory operations such as heating vessels and substances, flame sterilisation, and certain combustion or incineration processes. This model is designed to operate with natural gas and is suitable for chemical, pharmaceutical, clinical, food, educational and research laboratories.

It is fitted with a threaded needle valve for regulating the gas flow. The aluminium mixing tube promotes an even mixture of gas and air, allowing the intensity and characteristics of the flame to be adjusted according to the requirements of the application.

The air intake control makes it possible to obtain different types of flame. With a reduced air intake, the burner produces a luminous and easily visible flame, while increasing the air supply produces a hotter blue flame suitable for direct heating operations.

The burner is connected to the gas supply by means of a tapered, ribbed metal hose nozzle with an outside diameter of 8 mm, designed to facilitate the secure attachment of a compatible hose. Before each use, the condition of the hose, the correct attachment of the connections and the compatibility of the burner with the available natural gas supply must be checked.

The base is manufactured from die-cast zinc alloy with a metallic coating, while the mixing tube is made of aluminium. This construction provides stability and durability during use. The burner has an overall height of 167 mm, a base diameter of 75 mm and an approximate weight of 300 g.

The burner provides an adjustable heat output, specified by the manufacturer as ranging from 800 to 1,200 BTU, allowing the heat input to be adapted to different applications by regulating the gas and air supply.

The burner must be used on a stable, heat-resistant surface, in a properly ventilated area and away from flammable substances. After use, the gas supply must be shut off and the burner allowed to cool completely before handling or storage. It must not be left unattended while lit.
