Vented PP Cap with Filter Membrane for Cultures
The vented cap with filter membrane is manufactured from translucent polypropylene (PP) and is designed for use with containers fitted with a TO63 Twist-Off closure. It incorporates a hydrophobic polypropylene (PP) nonwoven filter membrane manufactured using Meltblown technology, which promotes passive gas exchange without the need to open the container frequently.
Its design makes it suitable for laboratory applications, plant culture, seed germination, sample storage and other processes where continuous passive ventilation is beneficial. Air circulation may help reduce condensation build-up and contribute to maintaining more stable conditions during culture development or sample storage.
The membrane is protected within a raised central section that helps preserve its integrity during normal handling. The polypropylene body provides good chemical resistance and dimensional stability, resulting in a lightweight, durable and easy-to-use closure.
