Range of soda-lime glass microscope slides for the preparation, mounting and observation of specimens by microscopy. Available in different formats and finishes to suit laboratory, biology, histology and clinical analysis applications.
Ghäasel microscope slides
Ghäasel microscope slides have a standard size of 76 × 26 mm and are available with different edge and corner finishes.
The range includes models with cut or ground edges and 90° or 45° corners, allowing the most suitable configuration to be selected according to specimen preparation and handling requirements.
Selected models feature frosted areas at the ends to facilitate marking and identification of preparations. Versions with frosted surfaces on both sides allow the specimen to be labelled and identified regardless of which side of the slide is facing upwards.
The hydrophilic surface promotes contact and distribution of aqueous specimens across the glass, making these slides suitable for human and animal biology, cytology and histology preparations.
Models with 45° corners provide more comfortable handling and reduce the presence of sharp corners during routine laboratory work.
Microscope slide with cavity
The model with one central cavity is designed for mounting and observing thicker specimens, cells or particles in suspension, as well as small specimens such as insects or minerals.
The cavity accommodates specimens that require more space than a conventional flat preparation, keeping them suitably positioned for microscopic observation.
Large-format microscope slide 76 × 50 mm
The model with cut edges provides a larger usable surface than standard microscope slides and is particularly suitable for mounting large specimens or several tissue sections on a single preparation.
Its larger surface area facilitates the organisation of preparations that require more space and allows several sections to be mounted on a single slide.
