Glass and Quartz Cuvette for Spectrophotometer
Cuvettes for Spectrophotometers — Optical Glass and Synthetic Quartz UV
Cuvettes for Spectrophotometers
Nahita spectrophotometer cuvettes are designed to ensure precise and stable measurements across the entire visible and ultraviolet spectrum. Manufactured under strict quality control, they are supplied in matched pairs and available in two materials according to the working spectral range: optical glass (340–2500 nm) for visible applications, and synthetic quartz UV (190–2500 nm) for analyses requiring high ultraviolet transmission.
Both types are produced by sintering, a controlled heating process that bonds the walls without reaching the melting point, providing an optically smooth, homogeneous and highly resistant surface. This technique enhances durability and measurement precision by minimising light scattering and transmission losses.
The cuvettes exhibit high chemical resistance to sodium hydroxide (6 mol/L) and hydrochloric acid (6 mol/L) solutions for 24 hours without cracking or leakage. They also withstand organic solvents such as ethanol, carbon tetrachloride and benzene under the same conditions, showing no material degradation or optical alteration, ensuring stability in demanding analytical procedures.
Their standardised design allows use with most spectrophotometers on the market, providing excellent optical face parallelism, uniform transparency and precise light path alignment. Available in optical path lengths from 1 to 50 mm with a 10 mm internal width, they cover a wide range of volumes for different spectrophotometric applications.
