Glass characteristics

Made of neutral glass 4.9 (special borosilicate) or borosilicate glass 3.3, Type 1 Class A according to ASTM E-438. Both materials stand out for their transparency, chemical and thermal resistance, neutrality and impermeability. They comply with the technical requirements for pharmaceutical and cosmetic containers and are suitable for autoclaving up to 121 °C without loss of properties.

The wall thickness ranges between 0.9 mm and 1.2 mm, providing excellent resistance to thermal and mechanical shocks.

16 × 100 mm (Ø x L) — Capacity 14 ml.
16 × 160 mm (Ø x L) — Capacity 23 ml.

Models of closures

Available with two types of screw caps, 18 mm (DIN 18) thread:

- Polypropylene cap with internal PTFE (Teflon) liner: designed for scientific and culture applications requiring sterility, chemical resistance and the possibility of autoclave sterilisation. Ideal for microbiological or analytical use.
Highly appreciated in research, quality-control and educational laboratories, as it allows storage, mixing and transport of liquid or solid samples without risk of contamination. Its tight seal and resistance to heat and corrosive agents make it ideal for cell cultures, buffer solutions, sensitive reagents or culture media that require repeated sterilisation. It is also used in analytical chemistry and pharmaceutical laboratories to preserve solutions and samples free from impurities.

- Aluminium cap with expanded polyethylene (EPE) liner: made of aluminium and available in silver or gold finish. Provides a clean, hermetic seal without leaks or seepage thanks to the internal EPE liner ensuring uniform compression on the rim of the tube. Cleaning: recommended with a neutral detergent below 60 °C, followed by drying.
This closure stands out for its aesthetic and functional versatility: besides technical use, it is widely employed in artisan cosmetics (vials for serums, essential oils, perfume or mask samples), gourmet food (presentation of spices, aromatic salts, honey or liquid condiments) and promotional or decorative sets (custom kits, botanical samples, tasting tubes).

Both closure systems are supplied without tamper-evident ring, facilitating cleaning and reuse.
