Amber Borosilicate Glass 3.3 Reagent Bottle with GL Thread

Graduated reagent bottle made from amber borosilicate glass 3.3, suitable for the storage and transfer of reagents, liquids, viscous substances and powders, and available in different capacities to suit a wide range of laboratory and industrial applications. The amber glass protects photosensitive contents from ultraviolet and visible light, making it particularly suitable for light-sensitive substances and long-term storage.

Borosilicate glass 3.3 provides high chemical and thermal resistance, low thermal expansion and good resistance to thermal shock. The bottles are autoclavable and manufactured in accordance with DIN/ISO 4796.

They feature easy-to-read white graduations, a large marking area for content identification and a Retrace Code for traceability. They are supplied with an autoclavable blue polypropylene (PP) screw cap.

The range is available in capacities from 10 ml to 20 L. The 10 and 25 ml bottles have a GL25 thread and a cap with an integral sealing ring, without a pouring ring, and are manufactured by Glassco. All other capacities are SIMAX bottles: the 50 ml model has a GL32 thread, while models from 100 ml to 20 L have a GL45 thread. Models fitted with a pouring ring facilitate clean, controlled pouring and help reduce dripping.

Caps and accessories for GL45 thread

For bottles with a GL45 thread, blue or white PP caps and pouring rings and red PBT caps and pouring rings are available separately. The range also includes vented caps with a 0.2 µm PTFE membrane, caps with a 34 mm opening for septa and caps with 1, 2, 3 or 4 ports for tubing, allowing the bottle to be adapted to different laboratory applications.

Other reagent bottle options

The range is also available in clear borosilicate glass 3.3 and polyurethane-coated borosilicate glass. For applications that do not require the thermal and chemical performance of borosilicate glass, a more economical soda-lime glass alternative is also available.
