The glass is distinguished by its very good chemical resistance to water, saline solutions, acids, bases and organic solvents. It is only attacked by hydrofluoric acid and, at high temperatures, by strong bases and phosphoric acid. Specifically, calcium soda glass has good chemical and physical properties. Suitable for products that usually only have to resist chemical stresses for a short time and do not have to withstand high thermal loads.
