GL45 screw cap with hole for septum

Standard blue GL45 screw cap made of polypropylene (PP), with a 34 mm central hole designed to hold a septum. When combined with a pierceable septum, it allows access to the bottle contents with a needle or syringe for controlled withdrawal, addition or dispensing without removing the cap.

Suitable for reagent bottles and laboratory bottles with GL45 thread, particularly for applications where limiting exposure of the contents to the environment and reducing the risk of contamination during handling are important.

Resistant to autoclave sterilisation up to 140 °C. During sterilisation, the container must not remain hermetically sealed and pressure equalisation must be allowed.

The septum is not included. The black butyl rubber septum, reference 079.008, can be purchased separately.
