Filtration System with 3- and 6-Station Manifold 47 mm
The filtration system with manifold is designed for vacuum filtration using 47 mm membrane filters in quality control, water analysis, microbiology, food, chemical and pharmaceutical laboratories. Its configuration allows several samples to be processed simultaneously while maintaining independent control of each filtration station.
The range includes 3- and 6-station models, available in different construction configurations: systems made entirely of stainless steel, systems in borosilicate glass and mixed versions with a stainless steel manifold and glass components. This variety allows the most suitable model to be selected according to the required material, chemical resistance, process visibility and cleaning or sterilisation conditions.
Each station is designed to hold a 47 mm membrane filter and operate connected to a common vacuum line. The systems include 300 ml funnels, filter bases or filter holders, clamps and adapters according to the model configuration. The manifold has an inlet/outlet for vacuum connection.
Each station is controlled by a stopcock or valve with 90° shut-off, allowing each working position to be opened or closed independently. This configuration enables simultaneous filtration of several samples and allows only the required stations to be used in each process.
Stainless steel models provide robustness, structural stability and resistance to intensive use. Borosilicate glass versions offer high chemical resistance and allow the filtration process to be clearly observed. In mixed versions, the stainless steel manifold provides solidity to the assembly, while the glass funnels and filter bases make it easier to view the sample and clean the components in contact with the fluid.
The components are joined using systems suited to each configuration: clamps to secure the funnel to the filter base, silicone stoppers or adapters for connection to the manifold where applicable, and the filter holder’s own locking systems in stainless steel versions. These elements maintain the stability of the assembly and vacuum tightness during operation.
All models allow sterilisation, always following the recommended conditions for each material and component. For glass parts, sudden temperature changes should be avoided during handling, cleaning or sterilisation. For silicone components, seals, stoppers or adapters, the maximum conditions indicated by the manufacturer must be observed.
Before use, the 47 mm membrane filter must be correctly placed in each base or filter holder. After filtration, the components should be disassembled for cleaning, inspection and maintenance, checking the condition of the connection areas, clamps, stoppers and support surfaces.
