500 ml Glass Gas Washing Bottle
The glass gas washing bottle, according to Drechsler, is a vessel used in laboratories to purify gases from impurities. It is classified as a gas washing bottle, serving as an accessory for a reagent bottle. This model is made of high-quality borosilicate glass, manufactured by the SIMAX brand, a renowned Czech manufacturer from the European Union. It complies with ISO 4796-1 and includes a Retrace code for full traceability.
It consists of a transparent glass body with a maximum capacity of 500 ml. It has a DIN 45 - GL45 screw neck with an inner diameter of 30 mm, a body diameter of 86 mm, and a total height without the cap of 182 mm. The graduation is screen-printed, ensuring precise volume readings.
It includes a standard GL45 plastic screw cap and a straight plastic outlet tube with an olive connection of 8 mm diameter, facilitating easy connection to other equipment. The glass gas washing bottle allows for the introduction of the gas to be washed through the inlet and the release of the cleaned gas through the outlet. Inside, a suitable solvent liquid is used to trap impurities and unwanted substances, enabling purification, humidification, drying, or even selective separation, depending on the solution selected.
General properties of borosilicate glass 3.3
The glass offers excellent chemical resistance to water, saline solutions, acids, bases, and organic solvents. It is only affected by hydrofluoric acid and, at high temperatures, by strong bases and phosphoric acid.
