Filter funnel or vacuum filtration funnel of 1,000 ml capacity with porous filter plate.
Manufactured in borosilicate glass 3.3 and according to international standard ASTM 438 and is Typo 1 Class A. CE Marking.
The diameter of the inner disc of the filter is Ø 120 mm.
Plate porosity: 0 to 4.
Choose the degree of pore before selecting the product.

Pore 0: 160 – 250 microns
Pore 1: 100 – 160 microns
Pore 2: 40 – 100 microns
Pore 3: 16 – 40 microns

Pressure filtering or filtration with vacuum system
Vacuum filtration is a solid-liquid mixing separation technique.
The solution is put into a Büchner funnel with a filter paper at the bottom.
The funnel is placed on a filtering flask.
A rubber cone is placed between the mouth of a flask and the funnel. The rubber will serve as an adapter for the socket and allow the vacuum system to seal.
A vacuum pump is applied, which suctions the mixture, leaving the solid trapped in the pores of the filter.
The rest of the solution passes through the filter and is deposited at the bottom of the container.
This technique is faster than the usual gravity filtration and is indicated when such filtration processes are very slow.
