Refractometer for Distilled Spirits, Beer Wort & Wine
Handheld refractometers with ATC available in three distinct models:
Alcohol – 1 scale: 0–80% probable alcohol. Ideal for measuring spirits and liqueurs.
Beer – 2 scales: 0–32° Brix and 1.000–1.113 SG. Designed for wort monitoring.
Oenological – 3 scales: 0–40° Brix, 0–22° Baumé, 0–25% probable alcohol. For must and wine analysis.
Durable metal body, adjustable eyepiece and easy calibration with distilled water. Supplied with protective case.
Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) ensures accurate readings under varying conditions.
Handheld Refractometers for Distillates, Beer Wort and Wines with ATC
Handheld refractometers with Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) are precise, ergonomic optical instruments designed for measuring soluble solids, density and specific parameters according to the application. Available in models for probable alcohol, Brix degrees, Baumé degrees and specific gravity, they meet the requirements of the wine, beer and distillation industries.
Professional instruments for use in the wine industry, distilleries and the production of spirits and craft beers, as well as in laboratories and wineries. Their robust construction, with a metal body and adjustable eyepiece in dioptres, ensures comfort, durability and resistance both in the laboratory and in field work.
Probable Alcohol Model – 1 Scale
Measures 0–80 % probable alcohol and allows rapid and accurate determination of the alcohol content in alcoholic solutions, wines and spirits after distillation. Especially suitable for the wine and craft distillery sectors.
Approximate dimensions: 200 × 30 × 40 mm
Beer Model – 2 Scales
Measures 0–32° Brix and specific gravity (SG) in beer wort during brewing. Enables density control of sugar-related liquids such as fruit juices, soft drinks, wines and musts. An essential tool for brewers requiring precise monitoring of the fermentation process.
Dimensions: 170 × 32 × 32 mm
Oenological Model for Wine and Must – 3 Scales
Measures 0–40° Brix, 0–22° Baumé and 0–25 % probable alcohol. It allows estimation of sugar content and potential alcohol in grape must, helping to determine the optimal harvest time and the end of alcoholic fermentation.

Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC)
ATC models automatically adjust readings according to temperature variations, ensuring accuracy even outside the standard 20 °C measuring condition. If using a model without ATC, always calibrate with distilled water at 20 °C and set to zero with the supplied screwdriver before each use.
Operating Procedure
- Preparation and calibration: Ensure the prism is clean and calibrate with distilled water before each measurement.
- Sample application: Place a few drops on the prism, gently close the cover plate to avoid bubbles and aim the instrument towards a light source.
- Reading: Observe the value on the corresponding scale through the adjustable eyepiece.
- Cleaning: After measurement, rinse the prism and cover with distilled water, dry carefully and store the instrument in its case.
Supplied in a plastic case with sampling pipettes, protective pouch, screwdriver, rubber eyecups and grip, ensuring safe transport and comfortable use in any environment.
