Glass Powder Bottles without Caps

Type III soda-lime glass powder bottles with a wide threaded neck, available in amber and clear glass. They are supplied empty and without caps, allowing a compatible closure to be selected separately according to the intended application.

The wide opening facilitates filling, emptying and handling of solids, granules, powders, tablets, capsules and other compatible contents. It also provides easier access for sampling, cleaning and product preparation when required by the working procedure.

The amber models are manufactured from mass-coloured glass and are neither coated nor painted, providing permanent colour throughout the glass. Amber glass helps reduce the exposure of the contents to part of the visible and ultraviolet radiation, while clear glass allows direct visual inspection of the stored product.

Type III soda-lime glass provides good chemical resistance to water, saline solutions, acids, alkalis and many organic solvents. It is not resistant to hydrofluoric acid and may be attacked by strong alkalis or phosphoric acid at elevated temperatures. Compatibility must be assessed according to the substance, concentration, temperature and contact time.

According to the manufacturer’s documentation, the glass meets the relevant requirements of the European Pharmacopoeia and USP. The bottles are manufactured in England and are available in different capacities to suit the required filling volume and closure system.

Compatible caps, inner plugs and sealing discs are not included and are supplied separately. The sealing performance and final suitability of the complete container-closure system depend on the selected closure, the contents and the actual conditions of use.
